It is a matter of great honor for me that I have been entrusted with the duty of serving as the Secretary of MBM Engineering College Alumni Association, Jodhpur for 2017-19. I hope to receive the benediction and co-operation of all senior and fellow alumni for shouldering this responsibility during this ongoing period of turmoil and anticipation. The alma-matter is undergoing a sea change at present due to the challenging situation that has developed over the past few years. The time has come for all of us to rise of the cause of alma-matter, lest we miss this opportunity.
The Alumni Association has toiled incessantly for supporting the college bit by bit. Over the years, it has already contributed profusely towards infrastructure development, (Totaling nearly Rupees 7.5 cr). The latest feather in the cap is the incredible gift of Training and Placement Office building by 1987 batch of alumni. However, it is not the time to be complacent and dwell in the past. A great challenge looms large on the horizon. Our college faces the threat of zero session in 2018-19, if we don’t fulfill certain obligations laid down by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Hence, we need support of invariably all alumni to make the college rise like a phoenix and soar above, in the sky of technical education of India.
Although, I have no doubt that this threat will never materialize, but we have to pick up our cudgels and be prepared to win the war on merit. The time is the scarcest resource for meeting this challenge. All of us need to act fast for so sure, to rake up our contacts in the state and central governments, AICTE and all other quarters. We need to contribute ideas for refurbishing and replenish our laboratories with donations of equipment from the field and the industry. Who else, other than you, the engineers serving in the various pioneering organizations in India and abroad can do it better? We would also look forward to contributions in the form of Literature, Standards, Designs, Drawings and Charts to adorn the walls of laboratories. Please ensure that your college benefits from the CSR activities of your organization.
The next step would be memorandum of understanding between your organizations and your college. We on our part, will try to have collaboration with other pioneering institutions of the nation. This is the primary roadmap and we are eagerly waiting for your directions and contributions for the design of complete plan of action for future.

Together we can and we will overcome all hardships and emerge the winners.
