Born on 05th of November , 1961 , at Jodhpur Pramod did his primary education at Jalore District anf later passed Secondary Exam (10th ) with First Division at Jalor in 1977, Sr. Secondary in 1978 then and securedB.Tech in Electrical Engineering from MBM Engineering College , Jodhpur in 1984. Later He got enrolled for Masters in Control System Engineering from MBM Engineering College Jodhpur and complete his M.Tech.
With his Engineering degree and enthusiasm to server in the Power Sector , Pramod started his professional career Year –1985 and joined the Rajasthan State Electricity Board as Junior Engineer.
In the year 1994 Pramod got promoted as Assistant Engineer and worked in various Department of Protection. Transmission, Urban Improvement Trust, Jodhpur, Rajasthan Housing Board, Turnkey Works.
In Year -2000,during the unbundling of Rajasthan State Electricity Board into 5 Power Sector companies , Pramod choose to server in his native area and became part of Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited(JdVVNL). Later , in Sept-2009, Pramod was promoted as Executive Engineer, worked in TW wing Commercial and open access, MMC wing of JDVVNL. He went on Rajasthan Housing Board & Jodhpur Develoment Authority on deputation.
In May-2016 ,he was promoted as Superintending Engineer and during the period he served in Purchase & store management wing, Central Sponsored Scheme wing of Jodhpur Discom for electrification of rural unelectrified household areas of Jodhpur Discom & IPDS Town and also served Discom as SE(O&M), Hanumangarh.
Pramod became Addl.Chief Engineer in Sept-2020 and lead various Government prestigious flagship schemes such as “IPDS” scheme for enhancement and up gradation of urban infrastructures including SCADA automation of 33/11 KV s/s. Implementation of RAPDRP, Smart Meter under IPDS phase II and successfully implemented these project.
He retired from JdVVNL as Chief Engineer. During his service tenure in RSEB and JdVVNL , Pramod developed specializations in Administration, Implementation of sub transmission and distribution Network, Consumer services, Material Management, Turnkey projects, Centrally Sponsored scheme ( DDUGJY, IPDS n RDSS), contract management , RE matters, Solar and Wind Generation.
Looking to his Excellent Service records,Knowledge , performance and Administration qualities he was appointed as Director (Technical ) , JdVVNLin November-2021 and worked upto Feb-2022
His expertise in Power Sector of Rajasthan hard work, lead him to be appointed as Managing Director of JdVVNL in Feb-2022 and is still continuing. Presently JdVVNL is covering 10 Districts of Rajasthan i.e. 53 % in terms of geographical area of Rajasthan State. As Managing Director ,Pramod is driving the turnaround of the Jodhpur Discom with Key focus on improving consumer satisfaction and improving quality of supply and servicesthrough technological and social interventions and implementing new age technologies like Smart Grid and Smart Meters, ERP System SCADA, etc.Transforming Discom into a new-aged sustainable, technology oriented and customer centric power utility companyby promoting implantation of AI//BI based tools and Digital technologies.
